When Ed came home from a Board Meeting in 2004 saying the Friendly Sons were “looking for someone to do a little paperwork,” who knew that I’d still be with you twelve years, twelve Membership Luncheons, twelve Black Tie Stag Dinners, a myriad of special events, and 100+ consecutive Board Meetings later! I want you all to know how much I enjoyed the experience and appreciate your support and friendship over the years. Were it not for my association with you, I never would have been the Irish Woman of the Year in 2015 and news celebrity. Thank you!
I am touched and want to thank you all so much for my wonderful parting gifts. You really went out of your way to find Waterford crystal champagne flutes and a bottle of 2004 Perrier Cuevee Josephine Vintage. Perhaps, I’ll take it with me on spa day…
I have begun the transition of Friendly Sons business to your new Executive Assistant, Dee Chavez-Harmes, who will be taking over on April 1st. As the Friendly Sons are now a 501c3 non-profit corporation, Dee is tasked with bringing your accounting up to speed, keeping your Board Meetings moving along and the organization moving forward.
Also, a special thanks to the In Case Trio whose picture I’ve included, for serenading me with Auld Lang Syne, a very fitting send off for my last Black Tie Stag Dinner.
I wish you all the very best and am looking forward to seeing you all soon!
